Excellent lamp. One of the reviews mention the lamp was unstable but I’ve found it to be perfectly fine. Looks very elegant in my sitting room.

Love this lamp it looks great and is well made and looks exactly like the picture It’s a good height and it matches our new wall lights perfectly so one happy customer

Disappointing. The lamp looks good on line and I couldn’t find one in my 2 local stores so I chanced an order unseen. The major design flaw is that the stand is off centre on the base so the whole weight of it plus the shade is on one side. This is not evident in the on line pictures, obviously. The base is not counterweighted so the lamp leans at an angle which is impossible to correct without putting something heavy on the opposite side of the base to balance it. NEXT obviously know that this problem exists as they provide a bracket to attach to the bottom and instructions for screwing it to the floor, thereby making it impossible to move…and I have carpets and no intention of screwing anything into the floor underneath! I do like the light this casts in the room, and the overall ‘look’ is smart but for an item costing in excess of £100, this is not enough to make up for a basic design fault. I have not returned it because frankly, wrestling it back into the packaging would have been a task worthy of The Crystal Maze, and take too much time I will never get back, but it’s irritating. Come on NEXT, as a higher end retailer of home furnishings , you can and should do better!
