TAILORING RULES
Got an important meeting and need to know how to tie a Windsor knot? The Windsor is a thicker, wider tie knot that spreads out within a shirt collar. Follow the steps below to perfect that knot.
Begin with the wide end of your tie on the right; around 14 inches lower than the narrow end on the left. Now cross the wide end over the narrow end.
Bring the wide end up in-between the loop created in the space between your collar and tie. Next, pass the wide end back down.
Bring the wide end underneath the narrow end. This should make the underside of the tie’s wide end visible facing upwards.
Pull the wide end up and through the loop. Pull down on the wide end to tighten the knot carefully with both hands.
