Henry VIII ’s original Privy Garden at Hampton Court Palace featured ninety royal beasts above green and white stripped poles that signified his ancestry. Replica wooden and painted royal beasts on top of these striped posts can be seen in the Chapel Royal Courtyard garden today. The green and white striped pattern was very much associated with the Tudor dynasty and can also be seen on the magnificent stained-glass windows in the Great Watching Chamber. All made to measure curtains come with a choice of heading options and lining finishes. Depending on the curtain width, the fabric might be joined using two or more panels.
