William Morris had a great admiration for rivers, from the humble stream that passed by Kelmscott Manor to the great River Wandle that he used to dye his textiles at Merton Abbey.From 1883, Morris began designing a series of gently flowing patterns named after tributaries of the River Thames.The Lodden pattern is part of this series, named after the river Loddon, which flows through Berkshire and Hampshire.In rich deep blue and olive-green tones, the Lodden design is digitally printed onto a sophisticated linen-look base and has a complementary plain cotton-velvet reverse.This statement cushion is finished with jewel-coloured blue fringing for a luxurious touch.Filled with luxury fine denier polyester cushion.
