“Begin with one or two bold focal points that will draw your attention, such as a vibrant sofa, an oversized piece of artwork, or a striking light fixture. The key is to create a “wow” moment, so you don’t need to go overboard with every piece in the room. Let these bold items set the tone, and the rest will take care of itself.”

“Bold colours can really transform a space. You could go all in and paint your walls in a rich, saturated hue or opt for an accent colour like emerald green, deep burgundy or mustard yellow on your woodwork, above the picture rail or even on the ceiling. If you’re not ready to commit to colour on the walls, try using bold colours in your accessories - think throw pillows, curtains, or vases.”

“Bold designs pop even more when balanced with neutral tones. If you're adding a dramatic patterned rug or vibrant cushions, balance it out with neutral walls, flooring, or furniture. This helps the bold pieces stand out without clashing or feeling too busy. And remember, neutral doesn't necessarily mean white or beige. Black is one of our favourite neutrals for decorating, as are soft, dusky pinks!”
