I haven't worn in water yet, so cannot comment on that but they fit well with high waist which I wanted to hold everything in! They are very comfortable. I am usually a 10/12 and bought the 10 which fit snuggly enough for swimming but not too tight.

Cute and fit really well plus great when in the water! Nice thickness to material and not heavy when wet.
