I was going on holiday to New York in December and knew to prepare for the cold. Holiday shopping is always easier for summer holidays but for winter trips, it's all about the layering and accessories. I purchased patterned tights to make my outfits feel more fashionable and less frumpy. It worked. Every time I wore them, I felt more dressed up and my outfit felt more special than the usually tights and boots every feels. I even got compliments from people in New York and from friends when I shared photos. The best £8. Proper confidence boost. I bought two more pairs as soon as I got back to Edinburgh and bought a different style of patterned tights too.
