William Morris At Home
(739)Born in 1834, William Morris, a visionary artist and environmentalist, was a key figure in founding the Arts and Crafts movement in Britain, designing some of the most recognisable textile patterns of the nineteenth century. William Morris At Home works in partnership with the William Morris Gallery, a not-for-profit organisation and custodians of the Morris legacy. The Gallery is based in his childhood home in Walthamstow, which has access to an archive of his most exquisite and celebrated designs. This natural collaboration has inspired a beautiful collection of home textiles that continue to bring to life the work of William Morris, whilst also supporting the charitable work of the William Morris Gallery.
