Semi flush fittings are popular as they sit closer to the ceiling than a pendant so are suitable for lower ceilings and smaller rooms, plus they are more decorative and have a neater finish. We recommend the use of LED bulbs with all our lights as they are more energy efficient, typically last at least 15000 hours and use 90% less energy than a traditional halogen bulb.
