The large storage area can easily be accessed from the end of the bed, the gas lift mechanism enables easy hands free access. The base is covered with a black fabric cloth so stored items are not in contact with the floor or visible when the ottoman bed is closed. The bed is constructed with a steel frame with sprung slats, padded plywood panels are upholstered in quality textured linen fabric. The sprung slats are made from 8 ply poplar and coupled with durable clips the slats provide a durable and comfortable base that also helps to extend the life of the mattress. The padded headboard provides comfort when reading in bed, the buttoned design is also complemented with a matching footboard. The design is finished off with attractive silver feet.The bed meets all UK FR standards and has undergone extensive structural testing.
