Pairing a rich and creamy Stilton with a sweet and elegant Port is one of British foods’ oldest and happiest partnerships. Our cheesemongers have heightened the harmony by selecting a rare hand-ladled Stilton, Colston Bassett Stilton, and a particularly fruity and spicy 10 year old Tawny Port from a producer with more than 300 years’ experience, Quinta do Noval. Hand-ladling leads to a cheese that is far more creamy, complex and delicate than most and so it combines beautifully with this intensely sweet and fruity Port, the grapes of which were trodden by foot in a traditional manner, in stone lagares. To enhance the experience further, we have included two of our Partners For Cheese, created specifically to complement blue cheeses. Our sweet but tart Cherry Fruit Pure and our crisp Toast for Cheese Cherries, Almonds & Linseeds. This is the ultimate Port and Stilton experience.
