I've rated this purchase as bad and the primary reason is the difficulty I had in returning the items. The boots weren't great quality - very thin leather and I felt that whilst they looked good on first try, it would've only been a couple of wears before toe /bone marks are misshaping them (due to the thin leather). I also noticed a small area of the leather that was discoloured at the toe of one of the boots. When I came to return the hassle started - there was an incorrect return label that resulted in the PO trying to charge me over £13 to return. It took me 4 phonecalls to get through customer services: Phone call 1 - told it was international call centre, they couldn't transfer so call a different number (22 minute wait to get through on this one) Phone call 2 - told system was down, person on phone said they needed my order details to answer my question - the question I was asking was whether postage returns via PO was free, surely this was a standard question which they should've been able to answer without reference to a specific order. Phone call 3 - Call handler asked for my invoice number - no invoice number found on the content of parcel or email order confirmation. I offered customer reference with is all I could find, they said no use and instead asked me for my mobile number... I gave him this and then the line went dead, I'd been cut off. Phone call 4 - finally get through to someone useful who arranged for a new returns label to be sent to me address. Now received and return made - but it still asked for invoice number and I still couldn't find it. I hadn't used Next for a couple of years. Their systems are rubbish compared to how they used to be. Shame as its put me off online ordering with them again. Other retails operate far slicker than these guys.
