stash of hand-me-downs, what clothes do you really need to have ready for your new bundle of delight?

Hello, baby!

It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you're planning for your baby’s arrival so when it comes to clothing: 

keep things simple. If you don't know the baby's gender or just prefer neutrals, our unisex newborn collection 

is a good starting point. Aim for at least ten sleepsuits in size 0-3 months and a few in 3-6 months so you are 

prepared for the next stage. Helpfully, people tend to buy sleepsuits as gifts too so you should amass a good collection.

Little essentials

In those first few fuzzy, bleary-eyed weeks, along with nappies and sustenance for you, you’ll need a 

few must-haves, all within easy reach of where you position yourself with your newborn. I've whittled it down to 

the following: a fold-out changing mat, a couple of muslins, a lightweight-but-cosy blanket, tissues, cotton wool 

and water (for cleaning baby) and two or three sleepsuits. Enjoy these precious few weeks when you can 

sit still while all baby does is eat and sleep.
