Meet... Mix/Rejina Pyo, the designer on every fashion editor's wish list

Who

London-based Korean designer Rejina Pyo, whose quietly feminine designs have made her one of

fashion’s brightest stars. One to watch at London Fashion Week, where she showed for the first time last season

after launching her label in 2013, she’s also one to wear: Kate Foley, Pandora Sykes and

Laura Jackson have all been street-styled in her pieces.

What

Bold colours, overblown proportions and playful details mark out Pyo’s designs, which draw on modern art and

sculpture. Simple, but nevertheless striking in a hushed way, they’ve found their groove with a certain calibre of cool,

confident women unafraid to put their own spin on them. “I want women to feel like the clothes represent

something about who they are,” says Pyo.

“Each collection is a progression from the last, but reflects how I am feeling and the atmosphere at the time. Inspiration and creativity isn't linear, so my process is always malleable
