One day Dick named the suite ‘The Potagerie Suite’ and from that moment it too started coming to life. The kitchen garden is Dick's passion, but a little outside of Angel’s comfort zone. That said, Angel managed to celebrate and combine her love for Art Deco design and shape, with items from the garden adored by her husband. The appearance of carrots, courgette flowers, artichokes, sweet pea and of course bees really scream garden. Angel even took inspiration from the flowers on the century old wallpaper that was originally in the room.
This wonderfully unique cushion is digitally printed which allows for the softly painted artwork to be represented on fabric as beautifully as in the original painting. Angel is the 1940s vintage clad red head from East London. As the founder of The Vintage Patisserie, a glamorous hospitality company, and author of the best-selling Vintage Tea Party series. In 2015 Angel and Dick left their home in the UK. Having purchased a 19th-century chateau in the Pays de la Loire, they have embarked on a restoration project of a lifetime. Their adventures have been seen all over the world in the hugely popular Channel 4 series Escape to the Chateau. In 2019, Angel launched her first soft furnishings and wallpaper collection The Chateau by Angel Strawbridge. The collections are inspired by the hidden treasures and enchanting grounds of her magical home, and are influenced by her love of Art Deco.
