When sunlight is reflected from a horizontal surface it often creates harsh light known as ‘glare’. The reduction in glare improves visibility, reduces eye fatigue and irritation and is ideal for driving. Ordinary sunglass lenses darken the image while polarising sunglass lenses selectively block 99% of the reflected glare.
